"A journey through growth, challenges, and unwavering commitment."
FIHM sisters embarked on missions in Papua New Guinea, USA, and Italy, marking the Congregation’s expanded global outreach. Additionally, in 1998, Andhra Pradesh was established as a Province as the number of convents grew significantly.
In January 2001, after a high-magnitude earthquake devastated Gujarat, a team of medical and social work sisters provided critical humanitarian assistance, embodying the Congregation’s solidarity with those in need.
The Congregation extended to Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, establishing a Region in East Africa in 2002. Inspired by the sisters' service, local girls joined the Congregation, and a formation house for African formees was established in Kenya.
The Congregation’s first Evangelization Centre was established in Karaikal, India, marking a significant step in its mission of spiritual outreach and community empowerment.
Amid challenges in governance, the Congregation was under the guidance of two Pontifical Commissaries, Most Rev. Dr. Madalaimuthu Ambrose and Rev. Fr. A. Louis, from December 6, 2003 to September 15, 2008. Rev. Fr. A. Louis helped discern the Charism as ‘the sanctification of sisters for the sanctification of women’, reinforcing the Congregation’s foundational mission.
